Just wanted to drop a line that in addition to some longer term (think a month or two) plans to improve stuff around LD5 as I'm always doing, I will be taking measures sometime Monday to speed up the forum, hopefully considerably.  Unless you really care that much, I'll save you from the technical details, but monkey make things faster.  ;)

Well, look at that!  As soon as I went to my ISP to get the new hardware at lunchtime that would handle the faster speed, they must've cut the balls off the old hardware.  So, now that I've gotten home and Jenn says, "The Internets is down!" I quick installed the hardware and we're back up and running.  So, uh, there's the downtime.  :)
