Just a notification that I pretty much tore apart LD5's network and put it back together earlier today, to make up for sandy new operating systems that won't touch APIPA space with a ten foot pole...my days of running secret weesaur private IP space are apparently at an end.

Just telling everyone more to let me know if stuff isn't working anymore. I'm pretty sure I've covered all the bases, but if something doesn't work, just lemme know.

Heh, well...one thing I've noticed is that outgoing LD5 mail has been broken for a few months now. :) I never ever send any outgoing mail, so never noticed. Had nothing to do with the re-IP'ing, had to do with the move of the offsite server a couple of months ago to a different circuit. Was trying to talk to DNS servers that weren't there anymore. :) Anyway, explains why I had a recent report that someone wasn't getting their forum authentication mail...things should be working again now. :)

I'll actually be doing a little more server hammering this weekend. Seems that I'm growing quite the server farm here at LD5, and I'm planting a new server that's going to wrangle data from a few of the others, web-wise, so that I can give LD5 a more coherent and professional web presence. Shouldn't involve much in the way of any downtime more than a few seconds. Glad there hasn't been any serious issues I missed from the big teardown last weekend. :)

Just a notice, the Internet at work (e.g. the offsite LD5 server) has been down since 1pm today, but I'm sure hoping it'll be up tomorrow morning or I'm in for an angsty morning. :)
