Well, now that Ragnos' curiosity has been sparked, it's probably better to have the questions answered here than make a new thread for it. Still, if you don't like how it has derailed, just lock it.

All I know about OC is that it's like a multi-player tablet application, so I can't offer technical support nor express interest in a session with another. :worried:

I'm open for making an OC server. Hopefully things will be easing up at work in another couple of weeks, so I can start updating and maintaining the LD5 server hardware as it's starting to need. First off, want to virtualize the main server so it can be hardware independent, and fortunately there are great tools for doing so.

Windows Media Encoder is the way to go. I used this along time ago for a school project, I think. For some reason it was very slow moving between the setup steps (choosing the input files and desired quality of the output, etc) and the conversion itself takes a little while, but it gets the job done. You might have better luck than I had, since it's a newer version. You could also get it straight from the Microsoft site if you want, but they hassle you about "genuine Microsoft Windows validation" and junk.

My bad, I checked again and noticed I have the same version - it has not been updated. Do you mean the window appears to freeze when you select a video file? I mentioned it was slow, but would work if you gave it time to process. Exactly what it is processing is beyond me, but...

If you want to try something else, here are step-by-step instructions for something called Prism. I can't vouch for this one, but it might be just what you need.

I think it's better to change the subject of the topic to "Dino is finally doing something..."

:P

I'm just glad to have something show up in the "New Posts" section two times out of three.

Oh, you mean this thing? http://www.digiartistsdomain.org/

Yep, looks like a lot of stuff there. First I found a harsh review of the site by Something Awful from back in 2002...

But yeah. All you needed to do was to change your... extension. To org. As in...

Well, it fits because the content is obviously... um... :worried:
