Legacy LD5

No, no...I need STOMPING, not puffing! I'll be doing a little server maintenance tonight, but nothing like the 2-3 hours from the weekend. Maybe 1/2 hour of work. Adding the first extra virtual server to take some of the basic network tasks off of the LD5 internet server, so I can reboot either without affecting the other.

Well think of it this way! If you're all plus sized and macro, and I'm a mega, I can still stomp you with ease! :3 There are varied states of big after all. ^__^

*grumblesqueaks at Tombfyre* Yeah, whatever. Anyway, I'm done with the server maintenance for tonight. Things are really running great...I offloaded some services (DHCP/WINS/DNS/VPN/printing) to a second virtual server to give the main one less to do. I think I'm done with maintenance for the week...on the weekend, I wanna patch up the main server with the latest patches, and that's about it. I think I'll be looking for a nice mail server VM as well once I can get more memory for the main VM server...maybe look at a JumpBox that'll do it.

But, now that server hardware is good for...well, forever, now that it's virtualized, I can go back to working on Faibanx 3D!

*Presses incredibly large squashy paws upon the puffysarus pear.*

I just got in the 16 gigs of RAM for the server, and installed it, so now all the hardware futzin' is done. I think I'll just take time to patch the OS for another 1/2 hour or so of downtime on the weekend, and that'll be it. Apologies to those on Faibanx 2D just now that I gave the bum's rush, but it was a really quick outage.

Alright, when exactly are you going to work, if not, letting others work? I'm not sure free things are FREE.

Work on...what? The server? Faibanx 3D? The server, my immediate plans for the LD5 server are to get it patched up properly this weekend and maybe investigate a mail server VM to switch over to. Other than that, don't have any other immediate goals for the server.

As for Faibanx 3D, I'll be putting out a new LD5 front page to hype it up and start putting out videos and info shortly.
