Legacy LD5

Boy, it's been a while since I rambled about various stuff here. Rassafrassa vintage computing repair is taking me away from giant claws! Plus it was just double XP weekend so I was in another universe for 72 hours straight. Canna brony get a vacation?

Has anyone seen the new Thundercats cartoon? It's trying to be a little too deep and meaningful, especially early on in the series, but the animation is pretty good...they've managed to make some of the lizard guys quite smexy, and just about every episode has some claw/foot action in it so far, if only briefly.

I still have an outline of a new LD5 story in the works, staring me in the face. It has a 2% better chance of being done than Faibanx 3D!

I'm still pretty tired, though... *stumbles into * Mmm, need sleeps...

I have not seen the new Thundercats at all. I think I heard a few people saying it was lackluster, but who knows. At least there's smexy scalies. ^^

I saw the pilot so far! It is very Final Fantasy VI-ish. A bit generic (cloaked stranger, anyone?) and non-sensial (Look, it is our prince and heir, let's teach him a lesson and beat him up!), but all in all entertaining and enough for a mature audience to enjoy.

Not to hijack the OP's post, but the title does say Rambling. Anyways, I dislike the new Thundercats. Yes, it's got good animation, but... the storyline leaves much to be desired. I mean, Lion-O seems to be constantly doing stupid things. Each episode is a new 'lesson' for him to learn. The show just seems so dull to me. I can't say I much like the main character.

You do realize that Lion-O is literally a child in an adult's body, right? Something about a malfunctioning cryostasis chamber during the escape from Thundera. The new series at least had the sense to upgrade him to a teenager. Still impulsive, but with a better grasp of morals, relationships, and where the pointy end of the sword goes.

On a side note, I seriously need to stop being a slacker when not at work. I need a swift kick in the pants and/or a better leadership bonus.

Ramblin' update -- haven't forgotten about the LD5 Old West(tm) story parody, also was thinking that since parodies are Lava Dome Five's middle name, should start lining them up and make them a regular feet-ure.

But still sucked into vintage computing -- awaiting hopefully the last bit I really want for my Commodore collection, and having to re-pirate my Xbox 360's, and work, and housework, but I have had time for a couple of RP's recently which was very nice. SOMEbody new showed up on Faibanx and is building like gangbusters....remember inrooms?
