Just recently i've been seeing a spider called Baidu. I was wondering what purpose do they have on these forums. Espeically since i made a topic on FA and the mention of spiders.

Ten seconds of research tells me that in China, Google has yet to overtake Baidu as the most popular search engine. So I am supposing this bot makes our pages/content more accessible to Chinese users. Really, spiders in general are harmless, only serving to categorize the exponentially-expanding number of websites around the world.

So why did the admin(s) bring it here? Maybe their logo has something to do with it...

explanation may lay in the fact, that in China, goverment controlls internet and by this what people there are 'allowed' to see.

Oh shoot! I totally forgot about that part! Yeah, having such an overbearing gov't must be rough, but at least it beats... incompetent? But I digress.

But yeah, this could be a potential eye-opener. Do the Chinese perceive anthromorphs and the surrounding fandom the same ways we do? How aware/interested are they in the various forms of, ah... Fetish Fuel? Do they have types that we don't?
