Well, I've been thinking about moving the Lava Dome Five member sites back to a centralized server since bandwidth isn't really an issue anymore, and for giggles -- and for the first time ever -- I decided to look at the web server logs, just since the beginning of the year, to see how much activity the main LD5 website, and the member sites get. In short, I guess if I was the type to smack my cock on other's heads and try to be The Best And Most Popular Website Of Whatever It Is We Do Ever(tm), I'd be pretty happy. Maybe I'll start caring and go all commercial and hire a web programmer and a muck programmer and a Faibanx 3D programmer and become king of all macro. Nawwww, then I'd be an asshole. Well, more of an asshole.

Anyway, here are some interesting Fun Facts(tm) about the traffic the ol' Dome sees.

Stats for the main LD5 site...this is basically just the forum itself, and the informational pages:

What I want to know is, where are all these people?
Are there really that many voyeurs out there who creep around silently?

Maybe IE8 was there, but I only listed the stats for stuff I thought interesting. Shit, every OS and browser you can possibly even remotely think of showed up in the stats, like weird shit on Amigas and stuff. Must be that Milgrove guy. I could run the report again and get the IE8 stats if you really want.

We dont not-have spamtastic site hit counters or need-to-register-to-see-stuff or advertising what cool popular artists "are here" or whatever stuff that is supposed to underline how cool we are because we are too dumb to add that, you know.

No, I dont care about popularity either. I just find it nice to know that all the effort we put into this place and stuff for free that we put here is not in vain but actually is looked at by someones, and can find its way to those new to the furry thing and too shy to register to look at furry talk and porn yet.

I am not ranting on how we are not popular but on people leaving and finding it not worthwhile to come by or post their newest craptastic stuff here anymore because doing so doesnt add to their fame, as opposed to doing so on funky art festival pages where you get views and watches you can show around. Or because they simply dont care anymore or are too lazy to care or whatever.


I know LD5 is the best place, I just didnt know if what we offer to the anonymous fur is found and made use of.

I know I need to get off my rump once more and make myself up a nice new n' slick webpage for all my newer stuff. ^..^ Just gotta find the time to do so!
