It seems that nobody's really had anything new to post in this little thread so I decided to make up a topic to just talk about random things that sound either kind of interesting or could lead to interesting topics. Let's face it, the forums need just a bit of a kick start to get going again. :P

So here's a question for you guys, when you talk with other furs do you tend to be a bit discriminatory towards certain species? Clarifying, do you act different around different species or tend to not talk so much to someone if they're a certain species, etc?

Bonus Question: What species is your favorite?

I dont like spiders. :worried:
Maybe if you really dislike something you also are biased against people that like it?

Whenever I talk to a nice wolf though I feel I need to floof them up. :)

The only person that ever really squicked me was Bloodstorm, a draco-lich. Those are about the only claws I won't ever give a claw-cleaning too. Yicky, drippy, rotting flesh is...blech! Other than that, don't really avoid any particular types or anything.

Hmm, well to be honest, I'm not that keen on rodents. It may have something to do with the fact I was bitten by a rabbit when I was young. XD

As for my favourite species, well that's got to be anthro-reptilians. :)

Actually, I'm not down with little rodenty things in RL either, for the same reasons. Tiny furballs like that are way too bitey, and their bites hurt.

All I can think of as a dislike are certain kinds of insect. ^^ Other than that, I'm just fine with most critters. I of course lean more towards Dragons and Dinosaurs as personal favorites. ^^

I myself tend to not be as talkative starting off to some certain species for one reason or another. Depends generally. Some species I'm just not as interested in (hoofed animals) and some I might think as weird (random things, weird species mixes). But in general I try to be amiable to everyone I see at the least. Just so long as people respect me then I'll try and respect them. :)

Personality issues tend to be the biggest factor in me ignoring somebody.

Everyone should know of course that my favorite species is that of the otter. <3

Talking? Naw, not really. I'm not sure how it would matter, actually.

I hate wasps. Evil, vindictive things.
Of course I have preferences; dragons, gryphs, birdies, bigger mammals. Mice and rabbits not so much. I had a mouse as a kid - it was rubbish.
Dragons rule.

I don't have any species preference, really. I'll talk with anyone I can get along with.
And it's probably easier to interact with those who are similarly shaped, too.
I don't mind non anthros or taurs, or anything I can immediately understand the shape of.
Sometimes I can't wrap my head around a hybrid of several species types jumbled together.
Doesn't mean I won't play with them, I'm just never fully sure what they look like.
