As the name suggests, this is a quick little game that puts you in control of a baby dinosaur, "trampling across the landscape kicking and eating archaeologists in order to stay healthy and evolve. The best part of the game is the enemy AI. Watch as the little guys scramble about in search of something (bones, shovels) to hit the stampeding dinosaur with!"

Download from here, extract wherever, and open the EXE. Mac users will have to use Cross Over or a similar application.

Word from the creator: "You'll grow differently based on how you fight, how often and where you get hit, how much you run/jump around, how aggressively you fight, how you eat, and whatever else I could think of."

Tips
When the squishy people fall down, they drop their weapon. If it hits you, it hurts.
Hits to your head hurt more.
You can still attack while backpedaling.
As you get bigger, jumping rapidly makes for more effective trampling than running.
Your progress is saved whenever you move between areas. Your health is refilled when you die and restart. Keep these in mind to get through tougher spots and minimize loss of progress.
Resistance steadily increases with each area (either 6 or 7 in all) culminating in guns. You will start being shot at before you see the shooters, so pay attention to the sound and keep moving.

Haha! Man, this is awesome...

If it wasn't so tragic that the raptor kept dying at my skillless hands, I'd never have stopped playing. I like the little 'slap!' his feet make when he lands on the ground :)

Thanks for finding this!

I win! :P

I love jumping and trampling them! SOOOOO much better than biting and kicking them (although they both make good 1-2 combos).

Interesting little game you found there. I played it for a bit, died... restarted, got a lot further, died and quit. :P Thanks for sharing though.

*Waves his tiny forelegs* Mine aren't, I'm just no good!

Would anyone mind posting a screenshot if they get very far in the game? I'd really like to see what the dino looks like when he's bigger... :)

I took a snap of my final dino on a whim last night - now I'm glad I did!

Wow this is insanely awesome. A wave-based platformer with growth that doesn't get all fricking clunky as you get bigger! (grr SSBB) To coin a Smash-TV-related phrase — while we're on the subject of awesome arcade-style games — TOTAL CARNAGE, I LOVE IT.

Once I figured out 'quicksaving' and that enemies can be hit Mario-style (by jumping) it was alot less frustrating. I found that holding X (jump-button) down until you actually land seems to register a stomp a bit better.

I must say the music was good, but it sucks there was just the one track in Primordial Egg, really. I guess it's like Cheetah Men, only with good gameplay.

Having just gone straight for the link, I originally thought you'd made this, Austin, and I would have been ready to... well... 'would probably lost on you, but anyway it's a phenomenal find.

Thanks.^^
