In case you are interested in how the creatures that we all find so smolderingly sexy are actually discovered, check out http://www.forskning.no/svalbard/index_english.html

It leads you to a live webcame showing a current Ichtyosaurus excavation. Sure, it is "only" a prehistoric dolphin, but the techniques are the same. 8-)

Or you could make a trip to Drumheller Alberta, and visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology :3

http://www.tyrrellmuseum.com/

Its yet another fine place to get your fill of Dino goodness! I go there every year or two. :3 Its FUN.

Let's see how long I have to watch before a raptor bursts out of the ground and face-tramples them...

Its interesting that you brought this up Ahastar.I watched a documentary recently, and according to the scientists the
remains of a flying dragon were actually found in a very good condition in a cave in the carpathian mountains.
To make a long story short, they came up with the conclussion that all the local legends about the dragons were actually based on true events, and that he dragons existed there about 600 years ago, which is not at all a long time ago...
They appeared every once in a while, and that was very frightening for the people who were living in that area...
So thats where all the legends about allmighty dragons came from...Now listen to this:According to the legend many knights
were seeking the dragon to kill him and become heroes bla bla bla...Note that the bones of the knights were also found inside the dragons cave! The documentary continues with a reenactment of the attack of the knights against the dragon,
which was apparently made with a very realistic 3D program. In this video the dragon throws flames against the nights,
one of them falls down, and then(oh my god!!!!) the dragon actually lifts his foot and steps on him!!!
My eyes popped out and my heart was pounding, I couldnt believe I was actually watcing that in a documentary!!!!
I am looking everywhere to find it but I still cant...

I do recall a "mockumentary" about dragons on some cable channel years ago, but can't remember what it was called...and I don't remember a good stomp in it, so might not be the same one.

Yes, I saw that a while back. I think they called it "The Last Dragon" here in the UK. It was a good documentary. :)
