Ever since last night I've been getting a "Connection refused by host" error trying to get on Faibanx. Since I've had problems for an extended time and because I've never seen that particular error before, I thought I'd post about it.

Yeah, that's my fault. I was busy doing Christmas shopping and shipping with Jenn, sorry it took me so long to fix it. Problem with the muck is that I can't set it on an auto-kick easily, either, not being a native Windows app. Just another one of the many things I've been thinking about moving to a Linux server. Anyway, it's back up now and I have a feeling I know what killed it, which is always a good thing, too.

Another linux question how can I get Faibanx to work on there?

Like any other MUCK I suppose.

Didnt someone post a number of linux MUCK clients here a while ago?
I know they exist, I've used one at a convention once. Dont know if Bennie made a beipMu version for it though.

When I get around to building this pc of mine its going to have linux until I get windoze 7... But I need to know where I can get the source code.

I think the only client you'll ever need for linux is TinyFugue. At least, that's the one I used, many, many moons ago.

Just a bump: looks like the muck done crashed around 11am today, put it back up around 3:30 when I noticed. Doesn't seem to be any verifyable reason for it...tried the last few commands that were issued and stuff was good. It's been running for eons now, though, so maybe was just getting old and tired and needed a kicking.
