Ahoy there!

I've finished the first animation featuring (a bit, sort of) the anthro rex character:

Image

So, Brawl the anthro tyrannosaur is a guard in the notoriously tramply rex dungeon. Like all the best anthro rexes, he also has a feral tyrannosaur companion - Ghost. These two like nothing better than to team up for rainy afternoon of ruthless trampling all over Ahastar, their assigned inmate, and in this case they are doing so in the muddy centre of a secluded chamber somewhere in the complex.

This one loops and has sound, so don't go watching it with your speakers turned up while other people are around.

You can download the animation here: an_mudstomp_ride.zip - it's a zipped AVI file, 2:02 in length and 22 MB in size. If you want a smaller QuickTime version, try here

Many thanks to Ahastar for providing the sound effects and inspiring this particular scene! This was part of a roleplay he and I are frequently delving into, and that promises a lot more inspiration from the way things are going...

Damn, I can't believe how much you POUNCED over that tiny little innocent remark of mine! And in such short time, too! I absolutely love how it came out - the sheer crushing, the mercilessly rhythmical pulverization, and two of the most sexy T-Rexes I have ever picked up on. That riding angle just never gets old, either.

- Thank you for allowing me to nose you about it.
- Thank you for creating this absolutely delicious animation.
- Thank you for letting me closely watch the entire project - I learned quite a bit again beholding you progress in it.
- Thank you for shooting all of these angles and effects, too!
- Thank you for giving our infrastructure a run for its money in the progress. That will serve us well in the future!

This here will keep us busy for a good, long while, I bet - and I am looking forward to it, too.
Now I need to get OFF of this laptop and get to my Dolby Digital PC to enjoy this masterpiece of tyrannosaurian endurance-trampling the way it deserves!

After watching this for twice in a row as i let it loop (excluding my clicks to review the same angle for a couple of time before letitng it go :P ) i shall give a loud enough roa as compliment for the awesome work

*ROARS!*

Well, anyhow you made me eager for 4 minutes while i waited, and thanks to Ahastar for the idea i got that to play on my PS3 and it's nice sound system that i had hooked up

Now a quick question? what did you used to get that done? of course, besides your skill... if i have to guess i would call for 3Ds Max

WD - Unless Diablo has changes engines, he's used Maya.

Haven't watched yet. I'll prolly just edit to add comment when I do, so as to avoid my bad habit of necroposting.
Edits don't threadbump nowadays, do they?

Wow, incredible job with the animation, and excellent selection of viewpoints. :) I think my only critique would be that the rippling of the "mud" was more a distraction from the smex than enhancing it. Sure, seeing the mud flex and the footprints 'fade' was nice, but the ripples were a bit over the edge for me. :)

An excellently done masterwork indeed. Especially enjoyable for someone who is into feet I guess.
I thought the ground wobbles several degrees too much too, but the model and animation is just as good as the stuff BBC got out that amazed everyone last decade still.
And got me just about as excitedly looking for something that I knew would not really be there. :)

Thanks very much!

Dino and Blue, I appreciate the ripples critique - I probably went overboard there! It's always tempting to show off a new technique when you discover it...
