Hi guys, RipRoarRex with some more art after what seems like a long time in the making.

I've been struggling a bit lately with my work. I've recently been dabbling in what I would call ultra-realistic work by my standards, but it takes so much out of me each time I try a piece like that to the extent that I've found I'm not really enjoying my work anymore. It's been a slow month for me as I've been debating how exactly to proceed, but I think from now on I'm simply going to mix my styles up a bit - some cell-shaded, some blended; some realistic, some toonish - just to try and make it a bit more enjoyable from my own perspective, but hopefully remaining so for everyone else.


This is perhaps the single most ambitious angle I've ever attempted to draw any of my characters from. As a result, I'm still not convinced even now that the form, pose and perspective are correct. Nonetheless, I have tried to make this an impressive piece which aims to tick all my personal violent-crush-slut tendencies, so here's hoping it ticks a few others too.






Tydo finds himself lying helplessly on his back on top of a glass floor, just as the stomp-lusty Rexar arrives. Onlookers are treated to a unique perspective watching from below as Rexar's warm feet mercilessly crush the tiny raptor flat against the cool surface.

But yeah! You're right about the perspective issue. Tydo could equally be perceived as being pressed against a glass wall or a floor with the larger view. And do Rexar's feet always have to be sweaty and/or steaming? It's like he preps for every photo shoot by walking on hot coals...

Mmm, damn, Rex, that's just juicy. Y'know what's fun? Thinking of the squeaky glass sounds that accompany that picture.

Now, this is EXACTLY, what I LOVE to see the most! And it's even from you, WOW! I always have dreams where I imagine myself under a glass, watching those scaly soles above, walking and stomping on it! I can't believe YOU DID IT!!!

Look, it's not the first time... Diablo have done such thing too. But still...
