Ahoy there,

I've had a few requests to do victim's POV versions of my 3D animations (well, just "POV" versions actually, goddamnit, but I know what you mean), and I've just gotten around to doing the first one:

an1_vpov.mov

Unfortunately, Dras' feet aren't very hi-res, so you'll have to use your imagination for the very close-up parts!

Very nicely done Diablo. I felt like the foot was on my face! And the sound effects just makes it more better =) .

Aaaah, playing with perspectives! - one of the best parts about handling 3D animations, isn't it? VICTM POVs especially!
No matter how you look at it, it is very enjoyable.

I wonder who requested it

Given it can't be as easy as us common mortals may think, it didn't come out bad at all :) especially with the black and red filters

Personally, I'd prefer some blood effect filtering than the simple black and red filter if it is first person POV.

Yes, we learned in an earlier rexrant that rexes are stubborn and do not like when language elements are simplified to appeal to the most common use. :) But weesaurs can be the same way, every time I see "Drive-Thru" and read it I teenyrant inside. :)

Just remember, rexytoes, you can't fight progress. POV, like macro, is a term for a subculture fetish genre thingy, and EVERYONE knows what you mean by it, you don't need to spell it all out.

*gets blasted back by rex roar into slipper* :slipper:

*scampers back out to the heel, trying to start up a rant about how Quicktime movies went out of fashion in the 20th century, and then a big rex toe grinds him into the insole*

sooo, progress = raping and cutting a language down, 'simplyfying', untill eventually it becomes grunts and barks again?

Exactly! *Nosebumps Maksio, then gives him a friendly rex trample*

If you simplify a language, you lose more and more of its subtleties of meaning until you can't communicate at all because no one can get across their point!

Written language is especially important, because there aren't any gestures or expressions or physical contexts to use to work out what the other person means - you have to rely solely on what you read. And when what you read has several meanings because the person who wrote it didn't bother to use grammar or totally missed out the key word that gives specific meaning to an otherwise generic term, then you're more likely to misread or misunderstand and defy the whole point of language.

Language if the pinnacle of human achievement, people - give it the respect it deserves!

That was really amazing!!! :D

Too bad that the camera is fixed. To give the illusion that it would be a real head, the camera would move and shake a bit. But heh, that's not that dramatical. It's still very arousing, and the sound effects were there to add to the sexiness of that video! :P

Oh yeah, a blood effect filtering would have been excellent, indeed! :D

Keep up the excellent work Diablo! 8-)
