A quick looping sequence: the black rex from my last animation trampling all over anthro Ahastar in a specially arranged pit of mud!

Not even in nice sunny meadows is that raptor safe from trample fetish rexes :(

Download the animation here: an_loop_trample_mud.mov (18 MB)

Static back view: an_loop_trample_mud_back.mov

Raaawwwrr looks good! I like the soft squishy trampling against the soil.

Although I do have something to talk about--if mud was fresh, some would stick to the paw and dribble all over the raptor while he keeps on stomping. What I'm believing to see is that this trampling as gone on for a while and has compressed the mud tightly together under the raptor and around the paws, but if the mud is still able to move around, then some should still splatter around under the impact--like jumping in a puddle. It really does depend on the viscosity of the mud, but that's just one hypothesis from me.

But aside from physics, I like the slow, smooth trampling animation and how they're all just smug and calm about it. I guess he never has a vacation.

Yeah, I think the mud in question is more like soggy earth, like a very soft clay or wet sand. :)

I've had a couple of people mention that the swirly camera is distracting, so here's a static back view: an_loop_trample_mud_back.mov

Thanks for the comments!
