Hi all, RipRoarRex here with the first of two new pieces of artwork.

You might remember my first picture of Scooby-Doo back in October last year. Around that same time, I also had this daft idea about how Scooby might solve mysteries if he was giant. No tedious conversations with the locals, no flagrant bribery with Scooby Snax, none of Fred's gratuitous Rube Goldberg crap. Just a massive doggy that could step on the bad guys. Cos let's be honest - Scooby is the star of the show.

It would probably be a much shorter show. But I'd still find it entertaining.

This was a total goof for me and I never took it too seriously, hence it was quite a lot of fun. Scooby's pose and anatomy probably isn't quite right, but I was cartooning so I didn't really care. Drawing the rest of the gang was a bit of a challenge, mainly because I had to draw them so tiny on the sheet of paper next to Scoob while still making them recognisable. And where devising the villain was concerned, I just went for the classic cranky old guy in a crap monster suit. Also, lazy gradient background again. Woohoo.

I actually started this picture during my week off work back in January, and it's basically just been waiting for me to add a couple of finishing touches since then. So at last, here it is.

And yes. There will be more Scooby from me in due course. ;)

--------------------

Having outgrown the Mystery Machine, the giant Scooby decides to go it alone in the crime-solving business - and with considerable success too.

Once again, spot-on rendition and interpretation of a canon character. :)

Hahaha!

Damn, you did a really great job there, RRR. The characterisation is perfect and the characters themselves are all spot-on.

You aso get extra rex points for it being funny. You now have FIVE rex points.

Well done!

Do rex points make rex prizes?

Quite. But then if you were, you wouldn't get stomped by some of the sexy bad guys out there...

;)

I'm led to believe so. Trying to work out how many more points I need for a crushable raptor...

:P

Thanks Diablo! Glad it also amused you - as I say, this was a bit of a goofy one on my part, so I was kinda hoping it could be appreciated as a piece of satire in itself.
