Ravenclaw invited me to some OCing tonight and I very gladly joined him! He drew his dragons, I drew my alluring self ...according to them.
I can't believe he did all of that with a damn mouse...

It was a ton of fun, mate! We need to do that again. 8-)

Thank you again for drawing art with me. I'm deeply impressed that you draw the victim so nice! I wonder what will happen if all of the three dragons do some group trampling on you... And yes. I hope we can do Ocing again. :)

I say we should have an OC night. Or an OC LD5 server. Or at least one of those Oekaki java apps.

OC works on a peer to peer basis. I am not sure if/how it would work on a dedicated server.

Sadly, I was just joking a bit. As far as I know there is no such thing as a dedicated OC server. But I know a friend who sometimes runs OC hidden on his server box and never touches it, so it's a bit like a server. Could probably set up something to restart the process if it stops too (I don't know about such things). OC does tend to crash a bit if people come and go a lot.

I'm not familiar with Oekaki apps either, only that they are java applet things that allow people to scribble and upload directly to forum. Not sure if they allow cooperative whiteboarding or not though.

An arranged OC night might still be cool though. At least it'd allow people to get together and draw.

That still doesn't sound like a problem, Aeon. I can run this goofy program in a VM just like any of my other servers and have it reboot/refresh itself or whatever. But geez, hasn't anyone made a network arr-teest sketch program yet? That doesn't sound like it'd be hard to do at all...shit, probably wouldn't even require much custom coding these days, just piecemeal the Legos together and ding.

They would probably run into the same problem that OC did - copyright infrigment with one of, I think, Adobe's licenses. Which is the reason why this old version of OC is still the most popular to date, despite being ancient: It was the last version of OC that still featured network drawing.

But it's not like networked drawing is illegal unless it's done by Adobe.
