This is still very much a work in progress, and not everyone's cup of tea, I know, but I've been working on an anthro raptor character in Maya recently and what started as a simple rigging test animation has bloated into something more involved, so I thought I'd post it here!

This is Dras the raptor in his anthro form, performing some degrading and nasty trample moves upon an unlucky human model I happened to have lying around on my hard drive:

Hopefully I'll get them both textured soon and work on the facial expressions, then it will be a case of trying to learn how to animate blood and guts and gore in glorious, gruesome 3D.....

Ooh, looks like this one's gonna be juicy. :) I like the size difference a lot, and something about the way Dras shifts his feet... it just looks so... :claw: ! All the little details are so good, the way his toes spread just slightly whenever he puts his weight down, and I love how snugly his foot fits over the human's face. That's because that's what raptorfeet are made for.

Yeay for amazing raptorness!
This came out really great so far Diablo.

Hmmm, I like the dominance in his (I still think Dras was a she in that first picture) body language. The stance looks like if he's happily marking away at the human, if I am allowed to say so without making a rex rumble in panic and change it. :)

Again. lots of potential and I'd really like to see it finished

my only real gripe with this is Dras' hands which lack a thumb and look kinda silly trying to point at the human. If you like I can try to make a tutorial on how to model hands.

I am afraid this is true though. But that's what I get for having no easily recognizable features: I dont really exist. If people draw me noone will know its me and if they dont, even if the bodily features are different from mine, noone will know its not me either.

Those who read my description or look at crappy reference sketches of me of course COULD know, but who does that, or memorizes undistinct features like hand, fingers, toes (even here!), body shape or proportions on a generic raptorthing? :|

Hey, I notice the differences. Dras's muzzle is narrower, and his face is more... well, it's more like Dras! More... cocky expression I guess. Plus, I can't really see you trampling like this, Blue. It's just not in your character, or interests for that matter. But I guess raptors can tell each other apart better than outsiders can. ;)
