As a fellow writer, I'd like to offer my sympathies. I know how it feels to have a finalized draft wiped. It's happened multiple times, but the good side of it is that more often than not, it turns out better when you type it up a second time. Don't quit on it, just keep on going. That seems the best way to get it done for me. Though that is very discouraging, I know. This may seem a bit unorthodox, and perhaps a little late as well, but something that I do to speed things up while I'm still writing the first draft of a story is I'll type it up as a saved text message. (Just be sure no one messes with your phone. )

I'm an assassin, what do you think it's for? Perhaps if you read my stories *cough* you might've known that. You should also leave a comment...

I like how you're doing a good job on leading up to the specific moment to happen, but it seems so rhetorical, so ominous, expecting. I would like if there were to be a surprise, as if you never saw this coming at all.
