This is my first monster story. Heres ya go!
Dusk Falls. It’s my turn to show my stuff. I begin swimming towards her. I love doing this. Who am I swimming towards? Why the city, of course. The tiny, invasive, puny humans live there. I hate them. I know what they have done to my waters. They pollute, they kill, and they destroy. And now it is my turn. As the city looms closer, I ask myself: should I spare you? You are so weak, so vulnerable. Should I spare you? No. Never. I cannot believe I asked myself that. I’m coming closer now. I can sense the pollution in the air. I feel my huge feet touch the sand as I stride up onto the beach.
I find it amazing how small everything is compared to me. My gigantic feet leave huge footprints in the sand as I clear the entire beach in one step. My first order of business is to destroy the humans’ city. As I reach the outskirts of the city, I finally see the humans. Well, maybe I don’t see them. I see their houses and their trees and their tiny, tiny cars. My eyesight is good, but not good enough to actually see them. Let that thought cross your mind: I can’t even see the most invasive species on Planet Earth. But as my gigantic shadow looms over the humans, I know they can see me. This is the moment that I begin my reign of terror.
I did know when I strode into the city that I would be risking a lot. What I didn’t know, however, was how incredibly easy it was. Each of my feet was more than two city blocks wide, so it was easy for me to step on things. Now, first let me say how proud I am of my magnificent tail. In my opinion, it’s the most beautiful part of my body. Now I watch it smother eight blocks flat behind. Normally, I let it swing in the air. But in this case, I’m making an exception. These poor, weak, defenseless humans are feeling my wrath. I pick up a semi truck with ease and start crunching out it. But before I can, it gets stuck between my teeth. I gave a spectacular roar, and swept my tail. This leveled with forty blocks of cars, trucks, trees and houses. I was getting close to the downtown area. I was once told that the humans call their supposedly ‘large’ buildings ‘Skyscrapers.’ This thought ran through my mind as I trod on one. It’s ironic, isn’t it? The humans build these giants- only to be destroyed by something even bigger. The buildings are getting slightly bigger, but still not nearly as big as me. This meant I had to push or kick them down. No matter. I liked that way better. Assault helicopters began to appear and flew around me. They fired missiles at me- but in vain. I swatted at them, and caught several. I brought my clamped fist to my mouth. Delicious. Then I felt rather tired. I decided that mankind had felt enough of my never-ending wrath, so I retired. I went back to the ocean, leaving the city in ruins, and had a very restful sleep that night.
