The next hero MMORPG that Cryptic does, the former Marvel Online without that namegiving sponsor as I understood it, planned for late 2009. Supposedly it will play more like an action game and less like the typical stand there and click powers MMORPG (So you'll hate it Dino  ) and people already rant lots in the forum to make it have anything that CoX could not have.Just thought some of you might find that interesting. http://www.champions-online.com/ |

Look interesting ! I wish you will have the choice to make "monster look" and specially massive monster feet too (ok you can make it in COH/COV but you only have one "clawed" monster feet, bouh !)

There are some crappy screenshots out of the pre alpha stage that already show a bit of reptilenes. No feet yet. But, you know, this may strike you odd but... NOT EVERYBODY LOOKS AT THE FEET ALL THE TIME!  I'm more worried about not seeing any decent tails there yet. I'm somewhat afraid they'll take the easy route on that and claim to stick stirctly to some lizardthings they found somewhere in Champions Pen and Paper that dont have tails and leave them out alltogether because they are too lazy to animate them.

Cel-shaded graphics reminiscent of Dark Cloud 2... and possibly a combat style to match? Now you're speakin' my language! I'll try to keep tabs on this, but as always I'm wary of a subscription fee... well... that's mostly because I'm a stingy tightwad. But this is FAR more appealing than the massive jagged polygons of the beasts inhabiting... you know... those other muhmorpurgers folks compare to crack. |
