I was surffing the tv and I found many z.non other that the worst of the sy-fy movies"dinotopia"where claawz await.

I'd be afraid Hallmark would come and beat down my door if I even watched "Dinotopia" again. Back in the early days of the Dome, when it was still in Pennsylvania (and the Internet in general...it's neat to think that LD5 has been around longer than Wikipedia), I was just mentioning I was excited and was looking forward to taking screen caps of the stompy dinos from the first Hallmark "Dinotopia" movie, and I actually got a letter in the mail -- yeah, the real mail! -- from Hallmark Entertainment, saying that if I did that I'd be in trouble. Damn, when I clean out my office closet I'm probably going to come across that...I need to scan that in and post it.

That is incredibly creepy and hilarious and awful. Especially because for once you weren't even plotting anything illegal. That time.

The only thing I really liked about Dinotopia beyond just being kind of a sucker for cheesy miniseries in general, was the talking dinosaur. Obviously, being a dragon, any opportunity to have someone scaly speak in any production makes me a little happy inside. As opposed to "rawr rawr" and then getting shot, which is the standard. The movie industry is racist like that.

And I hadn't even done anything illegal, I just talked about it. Never did figure out exactly who "told" on me...at the time, there were probably at least a couple of people "pissed" at me it could've been, the primary one being Kaa-Hahhnnhnhnhnhhhnnnn Starhunter if I remember correctly. Anyway, I sure hope I have it still, as I should get it framed properly. I remember for a while I had a letter from "The Family Channel" framed regarding "Dinosaucers". Hope I still have that, too. That was just a written response to my writing them to request that they put Dinosaucers back on the air.

You actually wrote The Family Channel to see if they'd put it back on the air?

You were a lot less cynical before, weren't you?
