Textures are more or less done - I'd like to pretend that I was going for a cartoony look here, but it was SUPPOSED to be realistic....

Ah well. He'll still trample nicely once rigged!

Ah, the claws should be bigger, in my opinion. :)

I saw it move around in a swirl, right here the claws are just a little bit in an unfortunate angle - out of the light-shine they do look larger! Man, I am seriously amazed by your progress, especially after I had to shovel my rex attempt into the furnace of failed creations - that bump map of yours is just spectacularly well done.

"realistic" changes his meaning time to time.. i mean, remeber scooby doo. it was a comix serie then they made a cartoon and at last they made a movie. They could use a real dog there, or just a dog model realistic as jurasic parks dinos.. but they choosed to do make it more carttonish same time realistic.. nobody wants there a sccoby which is a real dog isnt it?..

so dibalo is a beat em up character, then we saw it at arts and animations and now its 3D.. if you think most realistic, as a rex, diablo would be a standart rex (which i use at my animations) just a red one.. but do we want it so? diablo can smile when he stomp on someone, but a normal rex cant...

so with this model and texture i think diablo saved his characters atmosphere..

but i need to admid that, a bigger and larger hollow for feet could be better for crushing.. it looks anatomicly right for a rex (yeah sadly, i coudnt find a rex to use stomp animation for years since my last model) but for stomping for diablo maybe it can be a little bigger.. just an opinion ofcourse.. we need to see him in action :)

and maybe a bit longer teeth.. rexes got very long teeth at sides.. as you know..

still waiting!!! and did you thing my donation idea_?

Alright, I was silent about your latest works, but now I must roar: I DEMAND TO SEE HIM IN ACTION! Or at least his padded soles. :P I can't wait to see them blood covered. >-)

How long does it normally take to do these great renders?

The rendering itself can be anywhere from a couple of seconds to a dozen or so minutes per frame - it depends on the render settings. For something simple like this, just three or four seconds per frame!

And thanks for the comments, folks :-)

Pretty nice range o' facial details so far there chief. ^^ Are you using a rigged up bone system for the face? Or morph targets?
