I've put wargreymon on hold for a while to do work on an anthro rex model instead. Here he is alongside the older anthro raptor model for comparison:

Partially just for fun and partially because I'm hoping to go for something a bit more involved with the next animation, I spent the morning adding facial expressions and animating some lip synch:

http://download.lavadomefive.com/members/snail/xxx/an_lipsynch_tex.zip (avi file, 4.1 MB)

BUT please be warned - I chose some rather profane audio to go with it, so don't play it in earshot of anyone else with the speakers turned up or you might get funny looks.

More to come!

That sculpted torso looks rather out of place between the legs and head. Rather reminds me of a centaur.

The lipsynch was very interesting to watch. It almost looks... too smooth. Kind of like how the directors behind Team America had to 'dumb down' the timing of the mouth flaps to remind the audience they were watching puppets in a not-serious film. Make of that what you will; it's been said that Internal Consistency, not Realism, is the benchmark of a believable fantasy world.

STAND STRONG, DINOSAURS. FOR TONIGHT, WE DINE... IN HELL!
You know you are in deep trouble when you stand next to a theropod that cusses you out with a muzzle full of fangs like that.

I continue being amazed by your mad 3D skills, my friend.

Pretty good lip sync right there. :3 The mouth movements looked like they made sense for the sounds being produced. Well done sir!

Those are some juicy paws there. Might be the angle but they -seem- somewhat....odd in terms of proportions.

You mean the Tall Toes™ effect? I think that's just how Diablo likes 'em. :) :claw: :claw:

I'd taken it down, JUST to see if anyone was paying attention!

Here it is with textures: http://download.lavadomefive.com/members/snail/xxx/an_lipsynch_tex.zip

Nicely done as always Diablo. Eager to see it acting anywhere, keep the good work :D

Well, i can be wrong about this critic but oh well, the textures seems they were upscaled a bit too much, looking a bit blurry or slight bad quality for me, but who am i to judge? hehe, i know nothing aobut texturing. Just something i noticed and giving feedback :P

Hmmmm.... well the textures are very high resolution actually - it must just be the poor paint job I've done on them, I'm afraid!

Anyway, here he is in a decent quality render:

Actually that's a pretty nice paint job. ^^ It lends a toony air to a pretty high quality model, making for a nice blend. :D

I swear he *utterly* reminds me of the classic Turok lizard-rex infantry!
He's a charming reptile, in his own way... how many times have you been asked "How can I be part of the lot of you" so far by wayward furries?

interesting colourscheme, blue? I would have never guessed. Although I have to say the eye blotches look slightly out of place. maybe if they were somewhat shaped along the nuances of the head they'd look more fitting.
