Oh I just noticed~ Yes! you added thumbs, that was something the old raptor model lacked for some odd reason.

That's some awesome 3D scaliness there alright!
The scales texture is maybe a little too prominent. (As are you eye ridges usually. :) )
But otherwise very yummy.

I think I'll echo the others in terms of the "Nor"/fake-displacement setting on the scale-node/layer/element being cranked up a tiny bit high.

The main thing that I think is bugging my brain is that especially the uppper lip seems too thin. This is especially evident on the big render with the paws... even in hard lighting I don't think that an upper lip/jowel should be able to cause such a dramatic shadow. The lower lip needs some beefing/raising as well because the standard t-rex/sauropod does not expose their lower gums below the teeth even when their mouth is quite open, as is seen in the textured rest-position -render.

The things that occur to me looking at the model for color are thus: the eye-marking looks a bit odd the way it spills into the lateral sinus/nose-indentations in kindof a butterfly-shape. It seems that with that kind of structure there'd either be more exactness or color-bleed. Maybe consider separating the two canyon-areas with the more apical intermediate section that divides them and having slightly different shades (or a gradient across them) to fill both valleys. The pronounced 2nd less-whiter-than-the-inside ring around the eye and other highlights is the other thing I'd mention; it could use some quick blurring/smudging.

The hands/paws are amazing, as is the overall model. The degree of rippedness of the build does look a bit odd on a dino ("minotaur-like"). Changeable with maybe the right modifier or two. *shrug* Maybe put it to a vote.

The synch reminds me of the old Beast Wars, which was (along with War Planets) crazy good for its time... minus the profanity, which I'll attest would have been embarrassing to have loud enough so anyone with an adjacent cubicle could hear.

I'd also say shame on your for sitting on the laurels of your old WGm.ppt and not proceeding with him in 3D, but it can be pretty easy to get burnt out on doing geometry etc for just one model.

Thanks for the critique, Patch!

I'll try and do a better colour job and tone down the scales a bit. Also, thick dinosaur lips sound good to me.

Oh dammit, you love to torture me with this awesomeness, don't you? XD These thick padded soles really look like they crave for bloody meat! You have to do something with this fine anthro rex and some severe stompage!
