Well, finally got around to trying out a new little Brother SE-400 sewing and embroidery machine, so I tried making the updated LD5 logo I had tried a first incarnation of on Jenn's big expensive embroidery/sewing machine. It was missing "undersewing" at first, which is just a faint crosshatch of stitches it makes under the back to help keep the pattern together after it's made. Once I fixed that with a few clicks in the design program, I tried out the embroidery module on my lil' machine and it came out great! I was even using cheap materials all around and it still looks perfect:

http://download.lavadomefive.com/stompies/LD5LogoMaking.zipI suppose if people have suggestions for items that the logo would look good on -- I may try to mangle a ballcap into the embroidery hoop and doing it right on a baseball cap -- I'd be willing to sew it onto stuff, like tote bags, but my main plan is to sew it on to some iron-on patch material so people can iron or sew it on to whatever they want. Plus, patches are cheap and easy to mail.
