I finally got around to see to some features of the forum that didnt work right before due to some evil and pretty annoying php code bit that we finally found and removed now so goodness can ensue.
The profile page shows both default and custom fields equally and how it should now, and button links to your LD5 gallery
and member page
links from your profile finally show up beneath each post now.
So go and put those urls in your profile if you have either or both of those and haven't done so yet!The memberlist also has been updated to make use of that greatness, now showing, in that order, button links to the LD5 gallery
, member page
, and external website
or external gallery
, where if both are set the website link wins.
So despite Website being a default profile field and the rest being custom, there is no difference between those anymore now as the custom links show up as buttons fine and the "Website" has no privileged status anymore.
(A word on the asked-about forum email feature at that: Contrary to what the option in the user controls suggests, the phpbb3 (forum software we run) email feature does not handle mail trough the forum, as in having people mail to the forum and forwarding it and thus keeping the email adress of the user hidden as one might expect, but simply has the browser's email tool pop up, where one can see the email adress in plain text. Since this may very well not be what users intented, the phpbb email feature is currently disabled.)
