It's certainly got potential to be cool. I've wanted another go at giant monsters in Hollywood pretty bad. Trailer is awful. I think every trailer is awful, though. It seems like there is some target marketing tries to hit that is not me.

This is not relevant to giant monsters, but it is relevant to that trailer and one of the things that drives me NUTS about it:

Once upon a time, someone drew a fetish-y comic based on Star Fox Adventures. Shape-shifting, mind control, and plenty of regular ol' sex with the bare minimum of knowledge regarding actual sex organs. Amazingly, Krystal was not present whatsoever. The comic itself was rather mediocre, but somehow it eventually inspired a remake drawn with actual talent.

THE CRITICS RAVE!!
"This is hilarious and amazing. And I'm bothered by what that says about me."
"Once upon a time I would have found this disgusting. Now it just seems hilarious. What have you done to me Internet?"
"I am both deeply saddened and overjoyed that this exists."

Well, after reviewing both, I have to agree that there was a certain..."valid core" to the original that I can see why someone would get off on it "regardless" and think it worthy of a better remake. :)

That comic made me go: "Whaaaat?" Almost instantly. It's definitly so bad it's good material. XD
Aww well, lust comics are usually in that category. I mean, I'm sure we've all got our own 'old shames' somewhere on the web. =P
Sometimes I see past works of mine of which I go: "Did I really draw that?" and for history's sake: I don't wanna get rid of them either. XD

Great find. ;3

The latest Old Spice campaign almost makes up for them quietly discontinuing "Dikembe Mutombo's 4 1/2 Weeks To Save The World." Recycling the prop comedy and non-sequitors from "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" and featuring "Mister Wolfdog" this new series of video shorts is... difficult for even me to praise at this stage. There's this Malamute-ish mutt with a retro-future Universal Translator around his neck, and... fuzzy sticks for arms? He's been given the (mostly honorary) title of Marketing Director for Old Spice, and he's heralding the new "Smell of the Wild" line of body spray and...

What? The campaign ended on the 15th? Gosh, viral marketing moves fast these days. Better peruse this Tumblr before that gets purged as well!

Just goes to show, cartoons are just as bizarre now as then, but at least nowadays we don't have nearly as many continuity errors.

More from the advertising front: Orangina is still going strong, this time supporting their tagline with intentionally ludicrous statistics!

Out of those two link, I think I'll take the Orangina, thank you.
And maybe look for a nice perched giant dinosaur or dragon to stand almost-but-not-quite under, yes Dinosorceror.

So, the Jurassic Park page on Facebook has been promoting their stuff like crazy in preparation for JP3D. Insert rant complaining about pointlessly converting movies to 3D, but making an exception for Jurassic Park because dinosaurs. Regardless of your views on that, this is something we can all enjoy. ^^
