So I was living a little nostalgia and watching an episode of Angry Beavers. The episode is about how Dag and Norbert go to a marine zoo place and Dag decides to kidnap the orca they had and bring him back to the pond. Once they're both back home, Norbert tries to convince Dag that it's dangerous to keep a killer whale in the pond and that they need to take the whale back. The dam house's bridge is destroyed and they are eventually forced to swim for safety on the shore when SUDDENLY sudden and unexpected sprotch occurs.

Nice!

First, a comic: Poorly Drawn Dinosaurs - All the abstractness of Quantz, with less text and more art!
Next, a board game and the cornerstone of this post: Rampage!

Gain powers, battle other monsters and wreck a city by flicking little wooden figurines at each other! Plus the card art is super-endearing. (No relation to the video game series)
Dino Run (by Pixeljam) nearly got a sequel, but their Kickstarter fell short of the mark. Sorry it flew under my radar!
On the bright side, Kaiju Combat (mentioned in passing several times on FA) was Greenlit on Steam last month, so the 3-D battler will soon be purchasable and playable in all its indie glory!

And here's the site for the game itself.

I'm not really into the bit past "gulp" usually, but that was kinda nice until it the splash and weird shooty stomach things...

Yeah, I remember hearing about that when it first came out. They decided to use the standard spelling of 'sorcerer' though, otherwise I would think someone on the team was aware of LD5. :)

Blind Gecko & Tail. It's about a big blue blind... lizard-thing and his talking tail. The tail does the seeing for both of them, and most of the talking as well. Mostly of a surreal nature with some gags and puns mixed in. Inexplicable costumes and props like in the cartoons. There are a few short arcs and some arbitrary holiday celebrations, but overall nothing too serious.

Read it backwards, forwards all at once, however you like. Just read it.

I don't actually watch Mad Men because after the first season they never discuss their actual advertising business but here you go:

ALSO! Chris Riddell is a children's book illustrator and political cartoonist from the UK. His art style makes me think of what Shel Silverstein's would be with more effort and detail. Seriously, this guy's depictions of animals and other creatures are impressive. They truly feel monstrous without going into 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark' territory. My favorite examples of his work are the politoons. You won't find any of these on his own website(s) and the Guardian publishes them in a barely-readable resolution and I can't find them anywhere else arrrrghh
