You cannot what with the who now?

Could you be more specific? Are you trying to use telnet or a MUCK client?
Cant you reach the server?
Cant you log in once you connected to the MUCK?
Are you disconnected when you are logged in already?

Oh, wow...so you're using that little Java telnet applet that's on the LD5 web pages? That thing's ancient, and I didn't think anyone was using it anymore. Maybe I can try and find an updated web-part to allow muck access from a web browser.

ok thanks because my new pc runs vista (cant downgrade due to warreny thingy)

i just had so much trouble the other day it annoyed me so much

Well... get a MUCK client. Everybody does. Not that I ever had problems with the telnet thing apart from it being just not as comfortable. Like... beipmu.

I used beipmu, but after using it for a while, I decided to rest with muckclient. I have had better progression with it. Also, if your muck client won't open at first, you will need to right-click it, and tell it to run as administrator. Only way~
