Hi everyone, RipRoarRex here.

A new picture to show you guys, done as a gift for my fellow administrator Daryn at Eccentricities.

This is Skyra's favourite part of the hunt - the very moment when he takes control over his prey. Here we see this point in time captured from the eyes of the unlucky mouse who is about to experience the end of his freedom...

Friggin' awesome, Rex! :) Daryn's a great guy, and deserves to be smushed under avian feet more often. :)

The first word that comes to mind from this piece is power. The sharp contrast in highlights is the strongest evidence. You put several hours into the airbrushing (really, all the power comes from your style of shading and blurring) and it shows.

Oh... oh? Shoot. Sorry to break this to you, but the back claw is pointing the wrong way. Compare to this photo. The base wouldn't be dead center of the heel either... that would just be uncomfortable.

As much as I take your point on the inaccuracte base positioning, I think you must be misinterpreting the perspective on that back claw; it is curling towards the viewer (like the photo), not away from. Otherwise it'd be a bit weird! Lol!

Thanks anyway, mate. It did take a couple of hours to colour.

That's about the answer I was gonna give to the back claw issue...that it's all a matter of perspective. ;) For instance, I don't think they make camera lenses yet that can capture what a weesaur's eye view REALLY looks like. ;)
