I wonder how you can make such realty 3D art. How many hours does it take to make these?

That's a very nice scaly texture in the first one! I've been pretty stumped on how to get scales to look good in Maya - would you mind sharing your secret? :)

scales are a procedurally produced map, you just got to fine tune it correctly as a bumpmap.

also keep in mind that the model had like, 3 different bumpmaps.

It's a long and arduous process of experiences earned over 2 years.. mainly fueled by te foot fetish. Depending on model, it takes from anywhere between 3 days to a week to make a model from scratch.
