Well since Selendro helped us unearth this great giant rampaging lizard flick Reptilian aka Yonggary ( viewtopic.php?f=2&t=541 ), the discussion if Yonggary is better than the '98 Godzilla, and if Reptilian is better than the '98 Godzilla movie came up...

And since I wouldnt be me if I didnt, I had to make a huge poll about it! :D
So please everybody who thinks he has to put out his opinion about that, please tell us what you think of the movies and the monsters in it, so we can pretend to know once and for all! :)
And dont worry if you later think you should have had more coffee before doing this, you can change your votes any time.

(filed under: things you only can do when you have the rights to change the maximum allowed amount of poll options.)

Godzilla 98 was very sexy, there can be no doubt about it. I haven't seen Yonggary or his movie(s) so I don't know enough to vote fairly, but I did, and I voted for Godzilla, so ha ha.

*Rumbles approval of T-Rex-ish monsters*

The sad thing is that in the 10 minutes directly after his revival, Yonggary did more trampling around on hapless folk than Godzilla managed in all his movies combined.

La suck grande!

Yeah, that's about how it goes. Yonggary doesn't mess around.

I just recently had a watch of the original 1933 King Kong, and it was certainly carefree with its grisly deaths. Before the production code would make movies a lot less violent for a good long while. You don't get that much with Godzilla. He usually just destroys buildings with people in them. Not very often, though.

What about that old guy in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah ('91 was it?). Not a stomping, but a point blank atomic breath in the face. Woohoo!

But even then, Yonggary wins for blowing jetpack people out of the sky with fireballs. That takes real skill. And shooting fireballs down the neck-stump of a decapitated monster. Godzilla never had that kind of precision. And of course Yonggary has the actual squash-underfoot; I don't think i've ever seen Godzilla stand on anyone. Even in the '98 movie, he _missed_ the camera man.

I thought you never watched that one?
But yeah, I counted that one as destroying the building people were in, still.

Godzilla! So much better. Who, in the event of an earthquake, shouts out Yonggary! as a joke? Godzilla sounds way better, in addition to having extremely smexy paws. Only the 98 though, not all those little rubber monsters. The chase scene was dragged out way too much, but it was a good excuse to show off Godzilla's sexy paws over, and over, and over......

The actors, messieurs, were BAD in Yonggary. Stomping and such were okay, but in the aftermath Gojira98 won. Yep... for me he won.
