Hello, fellow Domers!! RipRoarRex finally has some more art to show you!!

:)

It's been a bit of a quiet month by my standards, so to make up for it, I've got a picture which I'm sure you'll agree makes the wait worthwhile.

I'm pretty sure I teetered over the line into insanity at some point during the creation of this piece. I'm not exactly sure when - it might have been during the process of getting rid of the outlines again, or maybe it was during the several hours worth of texturing. I have no idea how long I've spent on this one, but I became somewhat obsessive with it looking as real as my current abilities would allow me to make it.

Spotting you cowering in the corner of his room, Rocky quickly slips his sneakers and socks off and lets you gaze at his steaming pawpads before he stomps you into the carpet.

Wow, I think this is easily the most impressive of your pictures so far - congratulations!

Love those lucious paw pads :)

Absoloutley magnificent work, the pose, the surrounding, the actual perspective is very realistic, you've really out-done yourself, congratulations :)

OMFG!!! You have read in my mind! :D This is EXACTLY what I'm sometime dreaming and what I want to see more! POV shots are always the best, and with your style... dang, it looks like a picture taken from a camera. It's fully detailed as always. I LOVE THAT A LOT!!! YOU ROCK!!!

In terms of technical performance, I think you're probably right. There are others I 'like' more than this though. Thanks anyway, Diablo.

;)

Lol - that image... I almost wanna draw it! Lol!

Thanks, Dino. I actually only finished this about an hour or so after we were talking on Monday morning. Glad it didn't disappoint! Lol!

First thing that strikes out to me is the whole new facial structure. Being directly below the subject (really, a better title for this piece would be "Floored" rather than "Cornered") must by why you didn't give him the usual "cheek teeth" ... actually, the snout seems much narrower in general, making him look more like a coyote than a dog. It still works! (But you can never go wrong with making the claws bigger...)

Your texturing and directional-fur effects are starting to rival Ahastar's. And that's the way (uh huh uh huh) I like it (uh huh uh huh)

Actually, I can still do (and indeed have previously done) the 'cheek teeth' as you call them from angles like this. I did originally put them into this one but I fiddled with the facial expression numerous times (teeth showing/not showing, eyes wide/narrowed, tongue in/out) before deciding I liked this one most.

Thanks, mate.
