Testing...1...2...3...ah, crud. Guess he broke again.

Karstch the gryphon giving Ahastar a very intense stress-test session underneath his leonine hindpaws. Doesn't look like the raptor's taking it too well though...Ah, he'll be fine. The gryphon, that is.

Ahastar (c) Ahastar

Wow, really nice detail there, but the scan is a little light...sliding the contrast bar a little more would make all the nice details stand out better. :)

Testing... failed. Bah! That is what happens when you unload a dump truck sized, trample-happy griffon on 190 pounds of raptor - the only thing that gets tested thoroughly for any substantial amount of time is the floor beneath. That is probably your most detailed sketch ever - and gryphons are a BITCH to draw. You managed excellently here - the mean, beaked look, the heavy body, the lively motion, various cracked pieces of raptor. <3

Hooray for kittyfeets, technically! And the contrast looks just fine to me, maybe you need to adjust your monitor. Or you can save the image to your drive, open it in the editor of your choice and tweak it yourself.

Excellent collabouration, guys!

Ahastar looks deliciously mangled, as ever, and Karstch has some damn fine feathers and fur drawn all over him.

I can't help but notice that nearly every time something gets crushed around here, it's a certain half-demon dino. Where are all the other tinies?

Of course, I know at least one being here that doesn't tire of seeing the same target over and over. :p

Also, that fact doesn't detract from the quality of the drawing. Good job. :3

Wow, Timanth! I'm truly amazed! You really mastered the details very well!

There's perhaps the bird forepaw that seems to be out of nowhere, but that's not very dramatical. Great job! 8-)

What a crushing demonstration of irony, that the one being abused appears to be in control. *laughs*

Honestly though, it is 20% good fortune and 80% mutual art endavours, and thus hard work. Most pictures showing my raptorian likeness come from Diablo and Timanth, which I have been friends and creating art with for 10+ years each. We enjoy to draw one another, and the fact that we manage to create this much work these days is the result of these long years of practice, and mutual friendship. Then there are fresh, extremely talented arrivals and new artists, like RavenClaw for example. I honestly have no idea why he likes to draw me, or why BlackFangs recently asked me if he may sketch me ending up under the paws of his wolf girl. I guess presence leads to more presence - if you are seen a lot, people will pick up on you. Of course I highly appreciate it, thank everyone interested in showing my raptorian self, and certainly don't expect it as self understanding or anything!

Maybe it is also because I am simply piss easy to draw with my white scales.

I can even understand if people do think "Ungh, not HIM again" when they see my raptorian likeness appearing in their art inbox on LD5 yet *another* time. But someone thinking that way probably doesn't see just how much work is going on in the background, and what sort of relationship is involved. The comic Diablo and me created together, for example, took a whole year of planning, patience and labour. And trust. As did some of the RPs we created on his website.

The best way to get drawn is to get involved. Pick up the pen, look yourself up some partners in art, make some good friends and enjoy a life filled with shared creativity. Right now, for example, I am involved in combined art projects with three other artists who aren't even on LD5. Be a lively part of the community, and chances are it will come back at you in a good way.

Hmm...now that I think about it, I haven't drawn you yet!

*scurries away in a wildly fashion to abuse the half-demon with a demon*
