(Shockingly) surprisingly many that do even refer to themselves as 'scalies' on other MUCKs do though ...
(not that I would ever go to any other MUCK than
Faibanx of course.. *cough*
)
But yes, it all comes back down to the degree people dig the anatomy of their characters or how human they like them. While I still think a mamalian furry character is easier to embrace for its players than e.g. a reptilian one, with some being very comfortable just changing their facial features, adding cool ear, funky tail, and maybe some fur... while keeping their haircut and human sex organs and human boobs and diet and can just go on like any human too, whereas going, e.g., fully with a reptile and having to accept that human penis and hair and boobs are no longer (dragons of course always have the freedom too cheat there as much as they like because nobody right in his mind can tell you that a dragon is not supposed to look like that), and while the degree of anthro (aka human ) people want to (or feel made to) put into their characters is totally flexible, [start of actual sentence ->] I found that deeper and more special characteristics of a species or species group like the cloaca are rather rarely grasped.
And for those who dont have them theirselves or dont usually deal with folks who have them, it is only natural to not know.
And yes, it IS annoying none the less when people dont get what a cloaca is.
