So, here we are, the worse-than-CoX-alternative game is now free.

Oh, thanks for the reminder! I will check it out (Oldvs Manicvs always said, "For free? Take!"). Don't really think it's going to tear me away from Crackton. Interesting that Crackton countered by doing a double XP weekend now. Maybe I'll show loyalty and wait until after to check out Shampeons.

As I understand it you have to pay to unlock all the scaly stuff in the character creator though

Free version allows you to have several 'beast' heads, one or two beeing scaly with several clor and scale patterns, choice of tail, two sets of legs (one wolf with short claws, and one woth larger claws and a single rear claw), as well as digitigrade legs (either in long tight pants or naked/briefs/shorts) and several sets of wings (dragon included). Torso and hands also allow clawed/scaled versions.

From what I know (after doing -brief- research and 4 hours of play) there are no body parts in C-store yet (stuff ya need to pay for), but you do get tokens in game that can unlock additional costume parts.

So far c-store has things like additional classes (ones that don't particularly specialise, and one I wanted to take that is both good at ranged and melee), several powers (like half more 'original' travel powers (flying disc like silver surfer, burrowing, ice or fire riding. Flying, jumping, running, teleporting is free), and some widgets (for example, mega-growth or mega-shrink ability)

Fix that, looking into C-store now. Other than some clothimg, there is a single (not particularly nice) head that looks like a cross between crocodile and raptor. There's also quite a nice mecha-dragon outfit

Well that must be the one head my friend has so he's kind of boned.

More research,
the shop page doesn't show all the items it would seem. In-game the tailor shows three more reptillian heads, two for crocodile and one for 'sleek' serpent/lizard, if my memory is correct, a few furred and shark heads, some fins. No feet sadly enough.

Interesting note: There is one headfrill that looks exactly like that of Dras's. Dragon-like instead of feathery though

The sleek head might be mine. What happens if you had a character and then never played past the free month? Can you play for free with that character?

Do you still have to buy the game itself? If not, do I get anything for plunking down 30 bucks on that or whatever?

I -think- old characters can be still played, but you may be forced to change your powers. You have to pay -nothing- at all unless you want to.

Wellllll, if it'll have giant claws for free, I guess I'll have to check into it SOMEtime soon. I'm still too busy with Crackton recently, though.

I am also still trying to bother downloading it. But lazy > excitement about it.
And too busy with Crackton and other things too.
