Whats up with the password protection to view anything?

Trying to access URL's such as http://download.lavadomefive.com/LD5%20Artists/Lysozyme/index.html or any pictures linked to 90% of the artists hosted here ends up with a prompt to enter my user name, password and domain name. Failure to do so tells me I am not authorized to view the pages. Certain other artists pages such as the new ones added like "mr Lean" and "waub" just end up telling me page not found. The problem has occured using ID, Firefox/Mozilla and Netscape browsers. 

Did I miss some new registration procedure to view the site?

Oh, I think I just pooched up permissions or something.  I've fixed it now, and the artist gallery should be fully visible.

Gee, I didn't think this section would be used for stuff like this, but I guess it's a good idea!
