I know quite a lot of folks have problems with their routers, operating systems, or firewalls kicking them off a MUCK when their has been no data transfer for a while, which with MUCKs is standard. While some MUCK clients feature a keepalive function for that others dont, and thus I nuzzles Denare and he did a MUCK-internal program that gives you as customizable ping every few minutes as often as your evil system needs it to prevent being silently disconnected after idling. The program is still somewhat beta and may need to be fine-tuned a bit or even be renamed, but check out keepalive #help and see if that auto-pinging solves your problems.
