I want it to be a real metal song...
(Imagine the song starting more or less like "The Valley of the Damned" by Dragonforce)
In a land of kruft and spooge
where your kin is macro's food
mighty reptiles growl aloud
as they squash the running crowd.
And among the greatest quakes
there was still a home for us
Faibanx city as it was known
to protect the smaller ones.

I know I ruined ALL THE EPIC of the song with the very first line, that was the punchline XD

Very nice, dragon, very nice.
It brings a warmth in my cold-blooded reptile heart that us folks of the place i love makes you feel this way. The safe home to the smaller ones in a world where big ones are out to hurt you also makes a nice metaphor if one is really looking for one... *decides its better to leave it for everyone to interprete the songs by themselfves and for themselves*
Wouldnt it also be about the first metal song that has true joy and a happy soul?

when i get my laptop the first thing im going to do is: go to www.macrophile.com and check the many great pics that i have missed all this time (i can hardly type macrophile into the family laptop can i? "what are you sexaully? oh wait a minute, youve been on macrophile.com") secondly im going to get a faibanx account AND HAVE SOME FUN! cant wait! that song has me almost demanding my laptop from my brother (who owns his own computer company so he cant be assed to do mine!) thanks!

I am not sure, there a good deal of "happy metal" bands out there and surely one of them must have used "happy soul" or "true joy" already, but both together?, mmhh, sounds more unlikely =D (in fact, not even I did, =P ).

Oh yes, I AM serious about making it O_O
My greatest problem is that I don't have a way to make the music, and with my current PC configuration I couldn't even do the vocals. But if you'd be willing to make them that'd be amazing. Heh, I even thought of looking for a MIDI-making program to at least be able to make a melody for the song, but if you want to try your hand at giving it melody, then I can't do less than encourage you :}

I'm pretty sure I can do the verse part of it, and maybe some backgrounds for the ridiculous guitar solo section.... but I can't/don't/won't play guitar myself, so we'll need to find somebody who plays guitar reasonably. (Which should be easy, because, as you know, everybody plays guitar.)
For the ending I could do some rudimentary piano, and could work in some trumpet, but as of yet we're SOL on the the violin for the moment, not sure what to do about that... violin isn't easy to fake using anything other than a viola.
I'm a little waylayed currently, but I'll speak up when I think I'm gunna have time, okay?
